I. Paul’s Winter Ministry At Malta vs. 1-11

A. At first the people were weary of Paul, and rightly so. He was a convict, from a shipwrecked ship, carrying convicts.
B. However Paul’s life and ministry overcame their superstition. We are called to minister faithfully wherever we are. Overcoming whatever peoples superstitions and/or misconceptions.
C. Could it be that God set Paul up to minister there. “If necessary, God will move heaven and earth to show us His will”- Charles Stanley ( Bob Russell Picture ex)

II. Paul’s Two Year Ministry at Rome vs. 12-31

A. Once Paul gets settled down in Rome, he starts to find out if the Jews were going to oppose him. History shows that they didn’t show up at the court date (two years later) and Paul would go free.
B. Since, Paul was restricted, he had the Jews come to him, and he preached the gospel to them.
C. Some believed, and others didn’t. This is the third and final time Paul reprimands the Jews. Now the pendulum has swung to where the Gentiles are predominately saved, and few Jews are being saved. This will reverse after the rapture. Rom. 11:25-32
Romans 11:25–32 NASB95
For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.” This is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.” From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all.
Revelation 7:4–8 NASB95
And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand, from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand, from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand, from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed.
(Rev. 12)
D. Paul preached the gospel to anyone and everyone wherever he was at. That is how we turn the world upside down! One life/soul at a time.
