Psalm 68
Power of God
We think about power in terms on contests.
There’s a level of uncertainty in any human contest.
When enemies stand against God, there is no contest.
There is no doubt that there are enemies, but also no doubt about outcomes.
Power Unleashed for the Needy
We are meant to understand this power and see God uses it to provide. (vs5-6)
God’s power is infinite and unmatched to meet these needs.
God showed this in meeting our greatest need of salvation. (vs20)
Our experience with God’s power will depend on us admitting we need it.
Give God His Due (vs32-35)
Our faith should show the power of God.
Our praise should focus on the one truly powerful.
Resting in the power of God always brings us to gladness. (vs3)
