Lamentations 3:21 ESV
21 But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:

Love

Lamentations 3:22–23 ESV
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Mercy and faithfulness are expressions of the Lord’s steadfast love.

The Work of Christ embodies all three.

Romans 5:7–8 ESV
7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Lamentations 3:24 ESV
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Who is your portion?

John 6:65–69 ESV
65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” 66 After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. 67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, 69 and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

Where are you placing your hope?

Hebrews 6:19–20 ESV
19 We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Place your hope in Christ.

Lamentations 3:25 ESV
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.

In waiting and seeking we choose God.

Choose to receive and recall the Lord’s steadfast love.
