LIVING BY GRACE PASTOR A. GLEN BASUEL “BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD I AM WHAT I AM, AND HIS GRACE TO ME WAS NOT WITHOUT EFFECT…” (1 CORINTHIANS 15:10a) “OUT OF HIS FULLNESS WE HAVE ALL RECEIVED GRACE IN PLACE OF GRACE ALREADY GIVEN.” (JOHN 1:16) WHAT IS GRACE? God’s gift to me, received by faith, available to everyone, it comes through Christ, extended throughout eternity. GOD’S GIFT TO ME “AND IF BY GRACE, THEN IT CANNOT BE BASED ON WORKS; IF IT WERE, GRACE WOULD NO LONGER BE GRACE.” (ROMANS 11:6) “AND ALL ARE JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT CAME BY CHRIST JESUS.” (ROMANS 3:24) RECEIVED BY FAITH “FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH – AND THIS NOT FROM YOURSELVES. IT IS THE FREE GIFT OF GOD – NOT BY WORKS, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST.” (EPHESIANS 2:8-9) AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE “EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” (ROMANS 10:13) COMES THROUGH CHRIST “…WE BELIEVE IT IS THROUGH THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS THAT WE ARE SAVED…” (ACTS 15:11) “HIS DIVINE POWER HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR A GODLY LIFE THROUGH OUR KNOWLEDGE OF HIM WHO CALLED US BY HIS OWN GLORY AND GOODNESS.” (2 PETER 1:3) EXTENDED THROUGHOUT ETERNITY “FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.” (ROMANS 6:23) “THE LORD LONGS TO BE GRACIOUS TO YOU…” (ISAIAH 30:18)
