We're going to be in Nehemiah chapter 1. We're going to park out today.

Marks marks of a good leader.

Imagine that sometimes there are times that you ask yourself. Are you a good leader?

And this message May challenge.

Glass my beautiful wife to record this. My mom asked me if I would record this and I told her I would and I forgot to set the camera. So I got a hold to my promise course. I'm a little biased to anyway.

Okay, you okay, okay.

But everything in life. I've had a leader involved one way or one fashion or another in our lives.

And then in your own Ambitions of things and your accomplishment. You had, you had to of had, to have taken on the role of leadership, at least one time in your life.

Nothing happens by osmosis. Nothing. It happens because you took the role of leadership. You cannot tell me that anything happens just cause and happens because you built it. And it happened because you let it. Someone had to build some steps of action. Someone had to point a flaw or two to make things better. And that and that is taking on the role of leadership.

If you're showing steps to a plan. If you're showing in a few, if, you know, anything about the oilfield paper to the lady in the field.

It just skipped my mind on what we call it.

Pin number. It'll come to me in a minute. Anyway, what we're looking at this plan is laid out. And each has a lair of a plan on building from Foundation up. Starting at the foundation. Everything is laid out the electrical, conduit to the piping, and then the cement sport over that. And then, then you begin to build up on top of that. Everything goes.

Not everybody can, but there's a leak.

There's some times that you're you are projecting a vision and wow, you are projecting a vision, you are taking on the role of leadership. If you are pointing out to someone in the right direction and you're trying to point them in the right direction, you are taking on the role of a leader.

Now that this is the tragedy that takes place in the church today. This is a big tragedy and I'm not talking about this church in general. I'm talking about church.

Someone who is trying to take over and wanting to be in charge but to refuse to take on the mantle of leadership.

Allowing the word of God to work in your life. And through your life. We we say nothing. I get this, we say. I read the word. We say that, we say, we, we have the Motions everyday in our lives at home in our personal time. We say that.

But where is the word?

18in rims, that works. When are we? You're projecting that word that, that devotion.

Starting the medication because if we are projecting it onto another person. You my friend are taking on the role of leadership.

There is a phrase in the field that goes. Plan the work work. The plan. And that phrase, this is a point of safety. Because safety is at the very Forefront in the oilfield because I'm telling you right now. If you take your eyes off the test. I promise you something is going to happen. Something will go wrong. Someone will get hurt. Because it is that intentional field. Especially when you're working with heavy equipment, heavy piping, and if we don't tie something, right, something? Right. Something will break. Or come apart, if someone gets hurt. So, you plan to work and work the plan.

And this is when we need to get before, God. At the Forefront of our vision. Because you can have a vision. And if we don't take that vision and work that vision.

Vision begins to fade. It's because we the church. Are not down before guide. Like we say, we are.

Lord, I ask you Lord. That you would put a sense. Urgency in our spirit. Heavenly Father, Lord, for the leadership. In your church, a sense of urgency.

Lord is what we need. Look for you or coming back quickly.

Nehemiah's, what what you would say? His job title was. And you were fine this very first at the very bottom of the chapter. He's a cup barrier. That was his job. Now. What does a cupbearer do seem like? It would be pretty simple? But it's a very scary position.

He would go before the king would even take a ship of his drink. He would go and pick up his cock and take a drink of it first. Before the king would die.

Anybody looking for a new job? Because that's what he did. He went before The King and I can't wait. I need to take before you drink it and if he lived couples, good.

Seriously, that was his job.

That was his job. That was his job title.

Who are the vision that came up on Nehemiah for the walls of Jerusalem?

That gave the Town Security that gave the town protection, and it gave them the town that were the enemy before they got to Jerusalem and they could get prepared. 120 years before with a King Nebuchadnezzar. That was the one that destroyed the wall. 120 years, there was no concern. To rebuild the walls. 120 years. There was no protection. It was no security.

The even bigger problem was. The people found themselves other? That this is not their job.

This is the church's job government job.

120 years, people were saying, It's the pastor's job is the teacher's job. It's the others job, but it's not mine.

I love Nehemiah because of the type of leadership that he took on the role. Now, I'm going to tell you. Nehemiah.

No education. As you can tell, because he skipped the cup before they took the drink. That was all that he knew how to do.

No education.

No College opening.

So wow. He is praying. And he is on his knees crying out before God because there's a people, his hometown has been decimated and the enemy keeps on coming and people that are still there. Keep on destroying the things that they try to build. Keep on coming in there and taking away the things that they try to bring in and try to make things life better for their selves. 20 years just went on, and then Milani and Maya is crying, and he is on his knees before God. He's got a bird for the people. Jerusalem has a card for them. So what does he do? He goes before the king. and actually, he

What can I do not know who's worse? But you find out through the chapter and chapter 2, that that the king is is talking to Nehemiah and asking him. What, what is it that you need? What? What is it?

Expresses the vision. And then the queen she says, well, how long will you be gone? And you damn, I really couldn't answer that because you didn't know what was what was happening. What needs to be done in Jerusalem. He didn't do anything. He just moved the wall needs to be built. So the king said, okay, you can go. He's a cupbearer, you and think there's much benefits for a cupbearer. Do you and think there be benefits at all for above minimum? But the king he said not only will you go but I will send you resources to do what you need to do. Not only will I send you resources, but I'm also going to send. Not only will I see you resources that security but I will pay you while you are away.

The massive amount of people that want to go bills with your the walls of Jerusalem, and not only that the most awesome part about this.

I get overwhelmed, because After two weeks of being at work. And then having to prepare to get ready for church. Is hard.

because, Yesterday morning. I got up at 7. I took my trash to the dump because I don't want pay $350 every quarter because I'm too cheap. and, And so, I take my own trash because I live in the country.

And then after that, I got out and I dug me and my daughter and my son, we dug out. Because God has blessed me and my wife with a cat free. That's been given to us.

Cuz if you don't get prepared for God's blessings, Howard. You want to be able to maintain the blessing? So I was outside me and my son and my daughter outside so we can brace the gate up and everything and my daughter and my son thought they were going to teach me, but I talked to him and then so we were putting down the t-posts. We are hammering down, the peoples and everything. If we got the post holes dug in and and so and everything like that. And then I came here and all the Christmas decorations, help sister and brother Jeff in the cold system in helping taking down the Christmas decorations to get everything prepared for normalcy back through the year.

Then I go home. I think I need to go study and I was just too tired. I went to bed at 8:30 and I went to sleep. I was tired. Got up at 6 this morning finish studying afterward.

But you can become overwhelmed.

Chilling, like you're doing this. Alone, and I thank God for Sister Rose. I think God for brother Jeff because they are such a great help. Such a great help.

But what causes God's heart to bleed? Should make your heart, bleed. What causes God's heart to cry? Should make your heart cry. What causes God's heart?

Should make your heart hurt. Cuz I'm telling you, there are people out there that is lost and I'm done. You know what? I did on Thursday, on my day off. I went and did a funeral. Owen deer funeral of a young man, 35 years old, and a heart, a heart attack for overdose of drugs. Lance Williams.

This young man. The family didn't even know where he was. He was in the hospital by himself. Nobody keeping in contact with him. Someone had to call someone else to come down to identify him to help find his family. They found his family to mother came in identifying.

I know when did the funeral and this was the most diverse I Cry.

People telling you right now. We need to get a heart for the people. People for People.

I'm telling you this to make you cry.

A young man that I was working with an automation automation, just me and him and I said, how was your Christmas? I don't celebrate Christmas.

We can get consumed in what we are doing and forget about God's people.

We need to be in the word. We need to be a meditation. We need to be prayer and we need to be on our knees before God for direction. Just as Nehemiah did.

There are many marks of leadership many. But these are the two most powerful.

Burden.

And asking about the people.

The two most powerful marks.

Hey, I have failed at that. Just left my house. I'm not going to stand up here and say that I'm so righteous that I haven't been there. I have.

But I also need your help.

God, have a new father.

Lord, I ask you.
