How to Have a Quiet Time HOW TO HAVE A QUIET TIME  DEFINITION: "A quiet time is a daily time I set aside to be alone with God to get to know Him through the Bible and prayer."  In Getting To Know God – We Spend Time With Him So That We Can Get To Know Him. The Time That We Set Aside To Do This We Call “Quiet Time” I. THE IMPORTANCE OF A DAILY QUIET TIME  1. We were CREATED to have fellowship with God.  2. Jesus DIED to make a relationship to God possible.  3. Personal time alone with God was Jesus’ SOURCE OF STRENGTH  4. Every person who has been effective in SERVICE for God developed this habit.  5. You cannot be a HEALTHY Christian without it! Why is quiet time important?  (Psalm 145:18) The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth  Ultimately, it’s about relationship. God wants intimacy with us; he wants us to live the life he created us for, to walk in faith and obedience to his will. And spending time with him — reading His Word and in prayer — enables us to draw close.  https://trishasheffield.com/developing-your-quiet-time-and-learning-to-be-still/ THE PURPOSE OF A DAILY QUIET TIME  1.
