This week we have the privilege of continuing a series begun last week on the life of King David. We have so much to learn from him about God, the Christian faith, the human heart, and God’s amazing Gospel. To say that David had a colourful life is certainly an understatement. This week certainly proves this, for we will be exploring one of the Bible’s most well-known narratives – David vs Goliath! You might have read about the story in Sunday school, heard someone mention it in day-to-day language, or even seen a movie of it! If there was ever an ‘epic’ in the Bible, surely this is it!
And yet, despite how well known this story is, there is a nagging question that you might have. What does the story actually mean? And how does it affect me today?
