Sermon Tone Analysis

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

To begin with brothers and sisters Start off with Jesus 2x and while we deal with the Sermon on the Mount text it’s imperative that we testify about the greatness of Jesus the Christ.

Jesus says seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

What ever you’re going through Jesus can handle it because Jesus made the lame to walk the dumb to talk the deaf to hear gave sight to the blind and cast out devils.

And now Matthew 5 tells us that Jesus noticed the great number of witnesses and followers He had, so He went up the side of the Mountain and began to teach the famous sermon on the Mount called the Beatitudes.

There are more facts here that I can list in a single sermon.

But I like to give you ten fact before I get to the theme message.

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. the children of God.

10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Jesus’ sermon talks about us being the salt of the earth

The sermon talks in Matthew 5:14-16 about us being the light and to let our light shine so men can see our good works.

This little light of mine I’m going to let it shine

Start off with Jesus and you can’t go wrong

Because in Matthew 5:17-19 Jesus talks about the validity veracity and virtue of the everlasting word of God.

Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away but God’s word will stand forever.

In this literary Masterpiece Jesus preaches about spiritual standards and greatness like the Ten Commandments.

In Matthew 5 Jesus also reminds us in verses 21-26 to forgive each other and reconcile our difference.

Tell your neighbor : Let’s Forgive each other it’s a new year.

Start off with Jesus in 2022.

Jesus is covering a wide range of issues.

From Matthew 5:27-48

Even in Matthew 6 Jesus is covering a wide range of issues.

Start off with Jesus in 2022.

Then in Matthew 6 :1-4 Jesus says Don’t do good things for people to be seen by people .

Listen whatever good you do, Do it in secret and your heavenly Father will reward you openly.

And then learn how to pray

But Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Amen.

Your prayer life don’t have to be long to be strong with the Lord.

Go to your secret closet and have a little talk with Jesus because just a little talk with Jesus makes everything alright.

Start off with Jesus in 2022.

Matthew 6: 19- 33 teaches talks and tells us about 5 major things concerning the condition of mankind.

1 Finances the Lord Jesus says in 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Whatever you value that’s what you’ll support

I realized a long time ago that everything we have belongs to God and that we’re just stewards over what God has given Us.

The Lord makes sure we have the finances we need to make it.

When I realized that I would let God handle things then the Light of my spirit man became bright.

I had to let a whole lot of wrong stuff go because the bible says that

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.

If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Listen to me we can’t be good and bad at the same time

meaning No man can serve two Masters.24

“No one can serve two masters.

The person will hate one master and love the other, or will follow one master and refuse to follow the other.

You cannot serve both God and worldly riches.

Brothers and sister Start off with Jesus.

Everybody has to have money make a living but we ought to make that living honest, decent, and just and with integrity.

This brings me to

2. My Food Because I heard David saying I’ve been young and now I’m old and never have I seen the righteous forsaken or His seed begging bread.

God is going to take care of my Food Look at verse

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; That’s my Food then verse 25 says after the semi-colon nor yet for your body, that’s my Fitness

3. Fitness Meaning the Lord will take care of my body my Fitness Therefore take no thought for your life

4. my Fashion, what ye shall put on.

The Lord makes sure that we have clothes on our backs and shoes on our feet

because the word of God says Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

And then the prime example

that Jesus illustrates is in verses 26-29  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.

Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment?

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

The Lord says even Solomon with all of his wisdom couldn’t do the marvelous things that I have in store for mankind.

That’s why Jesus is our All Sufficient Savior.

Nobody else can be Jehovah Jireh our provider Like Jesus the Christ.

Did He make ways out of no ways for you?

Did he open up doors that’s been closed in your face.

Opportunities just come because of God’s Favor and our Faith that He’s able to bring us through it.

Last one

5. Faith look at verse 30

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

We’ve got to believe that God is able

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink?

or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

What things your Finances your Food your Fashion your Fitness and your Faith will be added unto you.

And in closing There’s one more thing I learned from the text.

My Future 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.

Sufficient unto the day is the evil

thereof.
