Good evening. It is an amazing thing to be able to approach God in prayer.

Warning to the wicked

This proverb opens up with a warning to the wicked int he world.

Still a warning

Do not presume that you will be heard just because you pray (especially if there is unrepentant sin in your life)

Those who are not in God’s covenant cannot be guaranteed that God will hear them

Distance of relationship

Some things this is not saying

If you sin, God will stop hearing you

You don’t need to fix yourself before God will hear you
