I. How to Walk in the Spirit vs. 25

A. To live by the Spirit, is to die to self, and let Christ live His life through us. Gal 2:20 ““I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”
B. We walk by the Spirit by living a loving obedient life. Meaning we’re obedient because we love Jesus!
C. This is not something for super saints but for everyone. It is normal Christianity.

II. How Not to Walk in the Spirit vs. 26a

A. Don’t be boastful. We have nothing to brag about. (Joe Payne’s $1 bill wad) (6:1).
B. Boasting of our walk with Christ only open us up for failure.
C. And others for religious bondage. (vs. 1-9)

III. The Underlying Reason for Not Walking in the Spirit vs. 26b

A. When we challenge instead of encourage one another we are not living free in Christ Jesus. Heb. 10:24 “and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,”
B. When we brag and challenge we are trying to get people to envy us.
C. When this happens we are not surrendered to Christ, nor walking in the Spirit.
