15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
Man’s Search for Meaning

We Desire Meaning and Fulfillment
We Desire Meaning and Fulfillment
God has been working on me about something in particular for some time now.
Over the next few Wednesdays I am going to try to articulate it and be helpful in some way as the Lord would allow me.
We have within us a deep desire for meaning and fulfillment. We search everywhere for it.
And frankly, it’s naturally put within us to find what our meaning is - because there IS a meaning and purpose to our individual lives. Just as natural as it is for a mother to begin nesting (because there is definitely a child coming), we search for our meaning (because it is definitely there).

“My Truth”
There is a search for personal unique “realities” that cause a person to be “the most authentic version of themselves.
The Fulfillment of God-Given Roles
The Fulfillment of God-Given Roles
What people remember about us are not whether we had tons of possessions or were some unique sort of rebel to normal society. What’s remembered is always evidenced on tombstones. “Father, husband, veteran, brother...”
A major survey reported that “Only 18% Of American Households Are Families With Married Parents”
Another important one: in 1970, 40% of U.S. households were headed by married parents with children. In the year 2021: 17.8% of U.S. households were headed by married parents with children.
“It may seem that we have multiple realities - because we’re capable of playing many different roles in our life.”
- Art Hochberg
Don’t look for your own reality - look to fulfill your God-given role!
