"Too blessed to be stressed" means that you are well-off enough in life that you shouldn't be worrying about trivial matters. It is a way of looking at your life from a macro perspective and remembering to be thankful for what you have. Ps 29 tells us The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.

3 steps to access the Blessings of God

One of my favorite songs that has come out in the last 2 years is the song “The Blessing.”
It’s straight out of scripture, super anointed, and set to memorable and powerful melody and chords.
I was overwhelmed by the fact that God is FOR us and WANTS to bless us.
blessing in Ancient Hebrew meant: anointed to win, empowered to overcome, and impossible to curse!
Especially during the tumultuous times the world is experiencing…and to prepare for God’s new and improved way of doing things....we need to walk in the blessing of the Lord!
Deut 33 tells us of Moses blessing the 12 tribes
The time was fast approaching when the Children of Israel would cross the River Jordan into the Promised Land;
therefore Moses knew that he did not have much time left to spend in this world.
Moses had been the leader, adviser, intercessor, and prophet for Israel over a period of 40 years and had learned to love these people more than he loved his own life.
Whenever disease or plague came, Moses prayed; if enemies attacked,
Moses sought God’s counsel and help;
whenever trouble arose in the camp, no matter what the cause,
Moses, interceded with God until the condition was corrected.
Truly Moses had borne the burdens of the people, and now he wished to show them one more kindness before he bade them farewell.
Now I’m going to let you study that for yourself...
Deuteronomy 10:8 NASB95
At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to serve Him and to bless in His name until this day.
What stood out to me the most was the fact that God had set up a system through which people could receive His blessing.
God uses people to reach people
and the priests were set up to pronounce blessings in His name.
The very fact that He set up priests to bless is evidence enough that
God WANTS to bless you!
Not only did Moses, the preists and the Levites pronounce blessing in His name,
Jesus actually did the same thing:
Luke 24:50 NASB95
And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.
Ephesians 1:3 NASB95
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Ultimately, we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ, but the kingdom of God is voice-activated!
We have alexa in our house.....You may have siri on your iphone
I have google assitant on my phone
hey google tell me a joke
We are learning to use our voice to make things happen....
they don’t always work.....
But I beleive that there is a spiritual lesson in that
Even Jesus’ ministry was a declarative ministry.
He, quoting Isaiah, said this about Himself - that He was anointed
Luke 4:18–19 NASB95
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”
What am I saying?
2 things....
1. God wants to bless you! 2. His blessing is released through declaration.

IMPORTANT STEPS TO ACCESSING THE BLESSINGS of GOD:

1. Be convinced that God wants to bless you

God is FOR you. (Rom. 8:31)
If you’re against you then you’re against God!
It’s time to get on the winning team. Do you really want to be fighting against God?
Since God is FOR you, you should be also.
James 1:17 NASB95
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
Philippians 4:19 NASB95
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Numbers 6:24–26 NASB95
The Lord bless you, and keep you; The Lord make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.’
Many times, we hinder what we receive from God because we don't believe we’re worthy.
God has qualified us through Jesus to receive all of God’s blessing.
Colossians 1:12 NASB95
giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
Blessing is the will of God for your life.

2. Know what the blessing is

…so you can expect it!
Let’s revisit that Ancient Hebrew definition:
Anointed to win
Empowered to overcome
Impossible to curse
When the blessing of God gets on you, your life gets enriched.
Proverbs 10:22 NASB95
It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.
It’s His favor, wisdom, protection, abundance, ability, grace, joy, freedom, peace - all resting upon you and whatever you put your hand to.
Check out Numbers 6:22-27 and Deuteronomy 28:1-14 for more.
Just for clarity, it doesn’t mean that life gets void of trials and nothing tough ever happens.
There are definitely times of trial and challenges - but with the blessing of the Lord upon us, we have strength, endurance, and favor even in the tough times.
Remeber Joseph from afew weeks back ?

3. Position yourself to receive the blessing

A) THE BLESSING IS RELEASED THROUGH DECLARATION!

That’s what the priests were appointed to do and it’s the same today!
1 Peter 2:9 NASB95
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
I beleive in the declaration of God’s blessing upon you and receive from the spoken word.
It was the declaration of the priest that released the breakthrough to Hannah’s prayers
1 Samuel 1:17 NASB95
Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace; and may the God of Israel grant your petition that you have asked of Him.”
Did you know you can also declare it over yourself?
What’s the point?
You have the ability to declare the truth and blessing of God over yourself.
You can bless or even curse yourself
James 3:10 NASB95
from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way.

B) THE BLESSING IS RELEASED THROUGH THE PRESENCE OF GOD

A man named Obed-Edom hosted the Presence of God at his house for three months and the Bible says the blessing of the Lord got on him and his entire household!
2 Samuel 6:11–12 NASB95
Thus the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household. Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, on account of the ark of God.” David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with gladness.
You position yourself to receive the blessing by being in the Presence of God.
Be intentional on personal times of worship.  Be intentional about joing with the people of of God Lean into times when the Spirit of God manifests Himself.

C) BE READY TO GIVE OF YOURSELF

Better to give than receive
Acts 20:35 NASB95
“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
Same Measure
Luke 6:38 NASB95
“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
If you want more you must be prepared to give more.
but you don’t give simply to get.
You give out of a genuine heart of worship and obedience, and when the worship and obdience in aligned with God will it allows HIM to pour back the blessing
God’s blessing is not a slot machine!
Malachi 3:8–10 NASB95
“Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. “You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
OT testament tithe means 10%
NT everything you have belongs to God
2 Corinthians 9:10–11 NASB95
Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.
Obedience in the OT was giving 10%
Now that we each have the Holy Spirit Obedience is now obeying what the Holy Spirit tells you to give!
2 Corinthians 9:6–8 NASB95
Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

D) TRUST IN THE GOSPEL OF JESUS

We are blessed in Christ.
All the promises of God are apprehended by faith.
It takes a simple childlike trust.
God gives each one of us a measure of faith - let’s use it to believe the gospel and instead of the fear-driven reports.
Passover
The spirit of death was passing through the towns of Egypt and would kill every firstborn of every house...unless there was a substitute sacrifice of a pure lamb. The blood of the lamb on the doorpost would prove that death had already visited that house, so the spirit of death would pass over.
The powerful thing about the story was that the spirit of death didn’t go inside the house to investigate what kind of people were in there. When he saw the blood of the lamb, he passed over.
What does that mean for us?
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve come from, or what you’ve done - if you’re covered by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, the enemy has to pass on by!
Jesus has qualified you! You are forgiven and washed clean. You are covered.
Believing the gospel makes you a magnet for the blessing of God.
Let’s turn the tide of this crazy time by not only receiving the blessing for ourselves,
but declaring the blessing of the Lord over our nation, families, and those affected by sickness and disease.
Let’s Pray
