The word father means a man in relation to his child or children; a priest; an important fire in the origin and early history of something (Founding father) a man who gives care and protection to someone The Bible connects the father for the reason of genealogy. In Deut 4:9 - Be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. 11:19 - Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Fathers are responsible for teaching their children about the Lord - Prov 1:8; Listen to your father’s instruction; Prov 23:24 - The father of a righteous child has great joy. Prov 13:1 - A wise son heads his father’s instruction. Fathers work for their family - Gen 2:15 - The LORD put the man in the Garden of Eden to work it. 2 Thes 3:10 - The one who doesn’t work should not eat. Fathers do what??????? Pray Job 1; God requires a lot from Father’s and the devil has tricked us away from our responsibility.
Fathers are full of Compassion energy (Ran to him) forgiveness (embraced him) Col 3:21; Eph 6:4 affection (kissed him) The father didn’t even stop to listen to the son’s apology. Instead the father directed his servants to QUICKLY <without delay, quickly, at once Mt 5:25 - Settle your debts QUICKLY with your adversary 28:7 QUICKLY go and tell HIs disciples; J 11:29; When Mary heard this she QUICKLY got up and went to Him. The Father’s Compassion causes him to act with your best interest in mind.
Fathers are full of Celebration Restoration (best robe, ring, sandals) Memorial (Fattened Calf, Feast) You have lost everything I worked for but I forgive you because I love you. You WERE Dead but now you’re ALIVE because you returned to me. You WERE Lost but now you’re FOUND because you returned to me. Fathers are full of Connection with you with your brother CLOSE: How do we become this type of Father? We follow the example of God the Father. 1. He’s full of compassion 2. He’s full of Forgiveness 3. He’s full of Connection
