Life is weird.

When I first visited OCU, I came with a buddy of mine and we were on a tour with only female leaders and potential female students and their parents

Josh and I came without our parents.

we came to the guys dorm and the ladies asked a random guy to take us up and show us his room so we could see what it was like.

two dads came up with us out of curiosity and when we got to the room the student explained that the school was 2/3 female and how that could be beneficial to us, then he pointed to a 5x7 picture of a redhead and said that that one was unavailable because that was his girlfriend.

one of the dad’s jokingly said, isn’t that the girl that was waving at you guys earlier?

This student didn’t like that and actually went to admissions to complain about us.

fast forward 2 years and I was engaged to a student here and every Monday Wednesday and Friday I would walk her to class in Stinson hall and we would both talk to the girl who sat beside her in that class for a moment, who happened to be the girl who was dating that guy, and still was dating him.

When my fiance and I broke up, that girl and he broke up at the same time, so they began to hate both of us guys at the same time together.

about a year later, I became friends with that girl, then we were in the musical Grease here on campus together.

I was danny and she was sandy and I made sure we rehearsed the kissing scene as much as possible.

That was 19 years ago and this may we will have been married for 18 years.
