“WORTH SHIP”
“Fix This Ship” Series: Pt. 2
John 4:22 - 24
We have declare 2022 as the year of transition as we prepare to launch into the deep. We have been commissioned and sent with precious cargo to rescue those that are perishing, but to be successful we have to fix our “ships”
We’ve got to get our ships together:
Worship
Stewardship
Leadership
Fellowship
Scholarship
We’ve got to fix our “ships” with Jesus
Peter would have sank in the water, but was able to walk on the Word.
He was able to walk on water with “little faith”
A definition of “Worship” : Honoring something or someone with extravagant love, and extreme submission - Webster’s Dictionary
“Worship is a lifestyle that express the beauty of holiness through and extravagant and exaggerated love for God that manifest in extreme and excessive submission to God” - Pastor Straker
Our worship reflects the worth we place on a thing.
Anything we give to God will always be insufficient to His worth, so the greatest thing we can give to Him is the greatest thing we possess, our lives, and service.
Romans 12:1-2 (CSB)
Romans 12:1–2 ESV
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
[Story of the woman @ the well in John 4]
