1 Samuel 24:1-22
Memory Verse 1 Samuel 24:20
God goes before people even when they don’t see it.
David thought he was running away from Saul but in reality he was moving to where God would bring Saul to him.
This should remind us that even when we have decided to be passive and stay away that God’s plan might be different but our faithfulness to what God wants will allow Him to provide blessings.
This should also remind us that when we make the right decisions God will bless us even if the blessing is not immediate.
Saul thought he was pursuing David righteously but in truth he was being put in a position to be put into David’s hands.
This is a reason that we should keep the faith, because God works in a different way than we expect and we do not have to know what God is up to to be used by Him.
God’s plans put people of faith in the right spot at the right time.
David might have thought he was running away from Saul but in reality he was running directly to the spot that Saul would fall into his hands.
Even when God has delivered the perfect cirumstance, people of faith must be faithful.
