What’s God’s Will for my Life?
What’s God’s Will for my Life?
“He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not.” … Through the ages, children have played this simple game of deciding whether someone loved them or not by plucking petals from a daisy one-by-one. The last petal supposedly reveals the answer—but what an unreliable way to make decisions!
What are some other ways we make decisions?
Maybe you lean on your “intuition” / Go with your “gut” kinda person
Maybe you just “do what comes natrually” and don’t give it much thought?
Others fall into the “paralysis of analysis” chewing on the details and scenarios until any choice seems incorrect.
As we begin our series “Make a Choice” I want to start with a question.
Can we know God’s will for our lives?
Ever been in a situation where it feels like trying to find the right decision to make is a complete mystery? - I could barely pick out what clothes I wanted to wear to church today, let alone what God’s will is.
I’m here to tell you today that God’s will for us is not as much of a mystery as you might think. In fact, God is pretty open about his Will and invites us to discover it.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
One of the most spiritual things you will ever do is choose.
See, making a choice is to make a judgment about an action or attiude.
When you Make a Choice, you are making an intentonal act of your will
