Introduction
Billy, a 6th grade boy, is excited to start a new school year, until he finds out that his best friend, Kevin, is moving to another state after his mother passed away.
Michelle, a 9th grade girl, always brags about how loving her mom and dad are until one day Michelle’s parents inform her that they are getting a divorce.
Aaron, a 11th grade boy, is considered the high school basketball star.
What most people don’t realize is that Aaron has trouble sleeping at night because of the constant pressure of being a star.
Sarah, a 12th grader and a devoted Christian, is being forced by her school to support an organization that goes against God’s values.
All four students have different stories, but they all have one similarity; They are each dealing with anxiety.
Maybe you can relate with one of them.
Maybe you (or someone you know)
is dealing with anxiety and you are wondering if there is anyway to deal with it?
Maybe your anxiety has driven you to a point that you feel like you are alone.
Maybe you’ve heard all the negative news that is going on and are scared out of your mind.
Maybe, the anxiety is so bad, you’ve thought it would be better if you weren’t around.
For the next four weeks we are going to study this topic of anxiety and answers the following questions;
1.) What is Anxiety?
2.) What To Do When You Feel Alone?
3.) How To Live In The Present Moment?
4.) How To Fight The Battle?
Tonight, we will focus on the first question and we will start by going to God’s Word.
Please turn with me to Matthew 6, starting at verse 19.
(Prayer)

Money is an essential tool and it’s okay to have stuff, but it shouldn’t be our number one.
(Example: Latest Brands)
2.) What We Watch, See, and Read: ((Matthew 6:22-23)
You have more access to information in the palm of your hand then when the first computer was invented.
Once you watch, see, and read something, it sticks.
Some of the shows, the news, photos, videos you are allowing to come in are entangling your heart, mind, and soul.
3.) Our Lives: (Matthew 6:25)
How long will I live?

Your identity isn’t based on how “drip” you are.
7. Tomorrow: (Matthew 6:25, 34)
“We can be so fixated on tomorrow that we forget to enjoy today.”
Fix Our Eyes: (Matthew 6:33)
Seeking the kingdom of God, is looking toward Jesus in ALL things!
When you put other things above God, you are sinning.
Closing, Prayer, Altar Call:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
