Mighty God & Everlasting Father 2. Isaiah 9:6 (ESV) à à à à • • Wonderful Counselor - the PERSON of Christ Mighty God - the POWER of Christ Everlasting Father - the PROMISES of Christ Prince of Peace - the PEACE of Christ “MIGHTY” - of heroic proportion, supernaturally strong “GOD” - the promise is of a King. Deliverer who will be more than just another man – He will be God. “Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17 (ESV) HOW IS JESUS, “THE MIGHTY GOD” SHOWING HIS POWER? 1. Jesus’ Power is at Work Around You • Colossians 1:16-17 (ESV) - 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 4. Jesus’ Power is Working Through You • Colossians 1:10-11 - 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. 11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, • Ephesians 1:19-20 - 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, Our Everlasting Father is… 1.
