Ephesians 1: 3:14

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
This morning I want to park at the statement Through His Blood.
I would like to take the time to talk about the Benefits of the Blood Of Jesus, around Cross Centered we make a lot of mention of the Blood of Jesus we plead the Blood over our family members, we pray that the Blood be a covering all around us throughout our days. We ask the Lord to give us healing through and by His blood.
The word haíma means physical “blood” (Jn. 19:34). We are made of “flesh and blood” and as such are frail (Mt. 16:17; Gal. 1:16; 1 Cor. 15:50; Eph. 6:12; Heb. 2:14. The phrase “flesh and blood” is an established Jewish one (though not OT) for humanity. Blood carries the ongoing life of the species (cf. Jn. 1:13; Acts 17:26). Its use for “descent” or “family” was ancient and widespread. 2. The OT belief in the sanctity of blood underlies the ban on eating it. In sacrifice, the life-bearing blood is a means of expiation (Lev. 17:11). 3. “To shed blood” is to destroy life, and the phrase can thus be used for killing (cf. Mt. 27:4, 24; Acts 5:28 [Jesus] and Mt. 23:30, 35; Lk. 11:50–51; Rev. 16:6; 17:6 [prophets, saints, witnesses]). God avenges blood (Rev. 6:10). The Western version of the apostolic decree (Acts 15:9) prohibits murder. Resisting to blood in Heb. 12:4 probably means incurring wounds rather than suffering martyrdom. According to Hebrews blood is shed to ward off the destroying angel (11:28), to institute the divine order (9:18), to consecrate the tent and cultic vessels (9:21), and to effect atonement and purification (13:11). 4. The blood of Christ is supremely significant in the NT (1 Cor. 10:16; Eph. 2:13)—not his material blood, but its shedding in violent death. This guarantees the new order (1 Cor. 11:25). This order includes forgiveness of sin (Rom. 3:25; Col. 1:20; Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:2; 1 Jn. 1:7; Rev. 1:5). Legal and sacrificial images are used in this connection but should not be pressed too strongly. Thus Christ’s self-offering is expressed by the idea of his sacrificial blood. Hebrews compares this blood with that of animals (9:12 etc.), but the effect of Christ’s blood is ethical (9:14). Fellowship with Christ’s blood in the eucharist (1 Cor. 10:16) means union with him who died for us and does not involve blood mysticism, though there is some hint of this in Clement of Alexandria Paedagogus 2.2.19.4. 5. In apocalyptic, blood may be used for the color red, indicating eschatological terrors such as war (Acts 2:19), hail and fire (Rev. 8:7), and judgment (Rev. 14:20). Ex. 7:17ff. underlies this use. Wine is the blood of grapes in Gen. 49:11; Dt. 32:14, etc., and the wine harvest is an eschatological image in Is. 63:3; cf. Rev. 14:19–20.

What is in the Blood of Jesus?
1st Forgiveness of our trespasses
The Forgiveness that Paul is talking about here is the ransom payment of Sins being paid by the Blood Of Jesus.

The Forgiveness that Paul is mentioning here first is the ransom payment that was due that we could not pay. Only blood can cover the cost of redeeming a soul. In the Old Testament Moses or the High priest at the time would take a goat and would pray onto him the sins of the people and instead of slaughtering the people and instead of slaughtering the goat he Let the people sins are placed on the goat and the goat has led away into the wilderness never to be seen again, the called him the scapegoat because after all the sins are committed sometimes everything in the deal gets to live. You see that is why we cannot play with the Blood of Jesus in and out all of the time because God avenges Blood. In Genesis, the Blood Of Abel cried unto the Lord God why because it the Blood demanded that something be done about its premature spilling on the ground outside of Abel’s body the Blood cried out because in the Blood there is life.
In Leviticus the Lord tells his people do not to eat anything with the blood still in it because it’s not truly dead until the blood is completely gone out of it. That is why when you butcher your own meat if any blood is left on the inside it makes you sick. because in the blood there is life. Whenever we have the opportunity to kill a deer we always soak the meat first to remove the blood because it leaves a taste. The Taste of life!
2nd Benefit of the Blood is Debt Clearance in the sight of God ( Redemption)
The Blood that Jesus shed was meant to pay for the remission of your sins before God. The debt was too big. The scales of Divine Justice takes every person and place them in their life in a set of scales. He places your sin debt on one side and your ability to pay on the other and like and good financier he looks at the repayment ability, Know if you have trusted in Jesus God says to Jesus and The Holy Spirit know this man or woman owes me nothing but praise and glory because of this clear account. If you have not trusted the places you on one side and Justice on the other and it says Payment Pending, Over Due Balance, and Final Notice we are about to forclose on this account.
You see payment must be made before the close of the business day.
That is why Jesus Nicodemus you must be born again in John 3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

Adequate Sufficient payment with God origanates with the Blood of Jesus, it is either Jesus’s blood or our Blood. You see we do not the importance of Blood because we do not have a healthy appreciation for Blood inMarraiage
(chuppah) at the bride’s home with a “virginity cloth” up to seven years or more after the contract was signed. This seven-year span we see twice in the account of Jacob, Leah and Rachel (Genesis 29).
The yichud [yee-hoo’d] (togetherness or seclusion) refers to the ancient Jewish custom of leaving the bride and groom alone after the wedding ceremony to consummate their marriage in a designated private room. (Wikipedia.) Two witnesses—one for the bride, one for the groom—would be stationed outside the wedding chamber to await the positive cry of the groom. (This is what John the Baptist was referring to when he told his disciples, “He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made full.” (John 3:29).) The blood in the man’s semen mixes with the blood from the virgin bride’s broken hymen and two flesh become one in blood covenant. The chuppah began as the virginity cloth referred to in Deuteronomy 22 and has evolved over time to be symbolized by a cloth canopy over the bridal bed and finally, to the modern-day chuppah canopy Jewish couples get married under.
You see even in marriage at that time the people still had to look for blood. God was giving them a clue to always look for blood.
You see our salvation is based on a completed transaction between God and Divine Justice all parties involved are satisfied if our dependency is in Christ Jesus redemptive Blood.
3rd Benefit of the Blood is the Obtained Inheritance.

Greek Usage. The basic sense of klḗros is “lot” (in drawing lots), then “portion,” and finally “inheritance” (also in Egyptian papyri “land in fee”). 2. klḗros and klēronomía in the LXX. klḗros means “lot” (cf. Jon. 1:7; Josh. 18:7) and then “lot of land” (Num. 16:14). klēronomía means “inheritance,” but because of the mode of apportionment of Canaan (e.g., in Josh. 17:4), klḗros is an equivalent. Thus we find klēronomeín klḗron in Num. 18:24, and the Lord is the Levites’ klḗros in Dt. 10:9. Indeed, klēronomía may take on originally alien senses of klḗros. Nevertheless, the land as a whole is never said to be Israel’s klḗros, klḗros can be used in the plural (Num. 32:19), but not klēronomía, and we can read of a klḗros tḗs klēronomías (Num. 36:3: “lot of inheritance”) but not vice versa. When the whole land is said to be given en klḗrō, it is unlikely that this means “in fee.” The probable meaning is that it is given for apportionment into individual klḗroi (Num. 36:2). The assignment guarantees the legitimacy of possession. klḗros and klēronomía both recognize that the land is not Israel’s by conquest but by God’s gift. klḗros stresses assignment and klēronomía the validity of possession. As the whole land is assigned to Israel, individual portions are assigned to tribes, clans, and families. A figurative use then develops whereby Israel is God’s klḗros (Dt. 9:29), or klḗros (like merís) is the “destiny” or “lot” of nations (Is. 17:14) or individuals (Prov. 1:14). With the rise of the hope of resurrection, klḗros can finally denote one’s allotted portion after death (Dan. 12:3). The whole usage is rooted in the sense of God’s overruling of history. 3. klḗros in Later Judaism. In Judaism we still find the two senses of “lot” and “portion.” Thus in A.D. 67 the Zealots choose a new high priest by lot, and Josephus tells us that Philip went to Rome “to acquire a share (in the inheritance)” (cf. Josephus Jewish War 4.153ff.; 2.83). In the pseudepigrapha Israelites have a portion in Moses (his blessings) and the phrase “the portion of the righteous” denotes eternal life. 4. klḗros in Philo. Philo stands on OT soil when he uses klḗros for “lot,” “portion,” “inheritance,” or “patrimony.” He also calls the righteous God’s klḗros and vice versa. He explains that God is the Levites’ portion in the way that art is the portion of artists. He can say, too, that nobility is the klḗros of the soul in a spiritual participation which is not without a natural basis. 5. klḗros in the NT. A first meaning in the NT is “lot,” as in Mk. 15:24 (with emphasis on the humiliation of Christ) and Acts 1:26 (with emphasis on seeking the will of God). The main sense, however, is “allotted portion.” Thus Judas has a share in the apostles’ ministry in Acts 1:17. Simon Magus has no share in God’s word or gift in Acts 8:21, and there is reference to an eschatological portion in Acts 26:18; Col. 1:12. Ignatius expands on this sense in Ephesians 11.2 etc. and Polycarp in Polycarp 12.2. In 1 Pet. 5:2–3 what is meant is not the elders’ personal possessions, and certainly not offerings on their behalf, but the portions assigned to them (i.e., to their charge).

We did not choose to have this placement with God He chose to do it by His own Goodness,Mercy and Grace. Before we get full of ourselves it’s not of Works Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
What have we Obtained?
The ability to Know God in accordance with John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
Salvation from the Wrath Of God in accordance With Romans 5:9 “Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.”
Victory Over Satan’s taunt of Death I accordance Hebrews 2:14 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood , he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
A Purified Concious in accordance Hewbrews 9:14 with how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
A mind that thinks on the Things of God daily when it is properly activated through the reading of scripture and prayer.
Freedom from Sins in accordance with Revelation 1:5 “and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood”
Cleansing From Sins stain in our life in accordance with 1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”
In Closing we have obtained God when we accept the Blood of Christ.
