Welcome
Alright - we have had a lot of great things already today - so I have a short message - But I believe God is going to do something powerful in your life if you catch this message.
Are you ready for the word of the Lord today?

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
I want to look at verse 20...

One of the greatest definitions of making disciples I have ever heard it this:
Screen
Teaching people to obey Jesus.
That is what you and I are commissioned to do.
To teach other to obey Jesus.
And the #1 reason we don’t do that all the time is because:
We feel inadequate.
We feel unworthy
We feel unqualified
We feel like we don’t know what to say
We feel like am not sure I am obeying all that Jesus said to do - how can I tell others they should?
How can we overcome that inadequacy?
I want you to look closer at something you might not have understood completely...

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
ALL AUTHORITY.
We are not acting in our authority - we are acting in His. And look at this.
The Word Authority is the translated from the word

Exousia - Which is also translated as power.
Isn’t it interesting that Jesus prefaces the command to Go and Teach by saying - All the power all the EXOUSIA has been given to me - therefore go!
I don’t know what inadequacy you are facing today
I don’t know what struggle you fighting back
I don’t know what addiction you might be dealing with
I don’t know what pain you’re dealing with
But I do know the answer to it. Jesus!
You don’t have the power to win every battle - but I know who does.
And the way you tap into that power - is by doing the will of God.

13 A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying, “I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. 15 But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” 16 Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.
