Introduction.

I want to start of by saying thank you to everyone that allowed me to speak and lead us in a few moments of prayer.
Thank and recognize:
Sergio and Lisa Rodriguez
Jade and Lexi
Haley the mother of Marcus two twins.
On behalf of Life Church I stand here as well, were also praying for yall.
I want to start off by reading a portion of Scripture.
Matthew 18:19-20 (NASB95)
Matthew 18:19–20 NASB95
“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”
I liked to explain this verse of the bible before I proceed.
There are so many powerful and beautiful scriptures in the the bible. this one here talks to us about the power there is when we as believers in Lord Jesus Christ can bind together in unity and pray.
When we was believers can unite and pray over specific things we can arrest the attention of God and even have his presence to be present with us.
I wonder if for just a short while we can come together and worship Him before we make any petitions.
2. Id Also like to read a few verses a scripture that show the nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, I believe this is important so that we know who were praying to and how he feels about this situation.
I believe together tonight we can touch the heart of God.
1 Peter 5:6–7 NASB95
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
This scripture here teaches us how we can humble ourselves before Him, that is by casting our cares on him, is giving to God those things that weigh us down.
Sergio, Lisa, Haley, the Lord cares about this situation, it is important to Him as much as it is important to y'all. He just needs to work through several human wills for His will to be accomplished.
What were doing today is simply casting our cares on Him, That is called faith. I want to explain something that may shock some of you, but God does not respond to need alone. if that were so this world would be perfect. He responds to faith.
So what were doing today is were exercising faith so that he in turn can work on the situation.
You see......
Psalm 34:18 NASB95
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 147:3 NASB95
He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.
Psalm 145:18 NASB95
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
So in Light of these scriptures I wonder if we can Humbly recognize that we need Him and that only he can do and perform the miraculous.
We read:
He cares for us...
He is near the broken hearted and he binds or heals wounds. No doubt this has crushed us, some more than others, it has broken some more than others. but when there are some that are hurting we are all hurting.
we also read that he hears them who call upon him, in truth, and this is simply sincerity, I do not doubt that there is sincerity tonight but before we prayed I wanted our faith to be encouraged by the word of God.
3. Id like for us in a moment to bind together and pray:
you see, there is a God that knows all things… And What needs to be done is beyond us and our ability.
So why don't we bind together and pray that God would shed light on the situation. That He would lead the investigating team to the right leads. Can we start off by doing that?
Next pray that God would move on the hearts of those that have any information regarding the whereabouts of this young man, or have any information. God would soften their heart.
Next, Gather the family together and men gather around Sergio and women around Lisa and her daughters along with the mother of Marcus twins.
Id like for us to pray for comfort, peace and unity would come upon this family. In Jesus name!
