Intro

Do you worship God?
Yes, I follow Him I sing to elevation worship and I give on Sundays. I worship God.
Those things are good, but if that is the extent of your worship your worship is anemic and Shallow.
You true worship is far deeper and far more glorious.
There are millions of for people who are singing and giving in churches this more who do not know God at all. Their worship is non existent. Because at the core their heart is lost.
Look at Cain, He was gardener, and I’m sure a good one and he brought a sacrifice to God. He came to worship God, but God rejected his worship and accepted Abel, his brother. Why because Abel brought true worship and Cain was just going through the motions.
Again He looked the part, but was hollow inside. There is that warning again. Lord reveal to us our hearts this morning. Let our lives not just be show.
<Lets Pray!>

Worship is more than a song

What is True worship?
Singing? Yes that is worship.
Offering? what we just did, Yes that is worship as well.
You see though we have in western Christianity turn singing into “Worship.” While yes it is aspect of worship true and complete worship far more complex. Worship is more than a song.
Romans 12:1–2 NIV
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
If worship is more than a song then what makes good worship? What actions, what lifestyle, what must we do to bring an offering pleasing to the Lord?
Praying over the last few weeks God has just been laying a number of sermons on my heart that all tie back to being Worship if they are done with a right heart.
This morning I want to talk to you about Worshiping God when we love those around us.

Love God and Love your Neighbors!

Mark 12:29–31 NIV
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
These are the Greatest Commandments
Living out these commandments Brings Glory to God. When we live these out God is magnified in a way that can only happen when these thing commandments are not just obeyed but when they are loved and When they are Lived.
I understand how loving God is worship, but how can me loving my neighbor bring God glory.
First off, lets define neighbor here! The word used here is Plesion, mean nearness. those that are near you. It does not mean only your direct physical neighbors, but rather those that happen to be in proximity to you.
Breaking it down further. Any human you run into. whether you like them or not. Whether agree with them or not. They are your neighbor.
Loving your Neighbor brings God Glory, because you cannot choose those you run into. You can choose your friends, but Mark 12 doesn’t friends, it Plesion” Those near you.” You can control that to extent but it will be perfect and there will always be opportunity to glorify God To worship God. In how you Love those around you!

Worship God by loving those He loves.

Matthew 25:31–40 NIV
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
You did it unto me!
Did what? You loved the hurting world around you. You loved your neighbor. Irregardless of their issues. their shortcomings. Their smell perhaps. You loved those I loved. You reach out and cared for them.
And when you did, You cared for me. For I am with them!
When we love the world around us. Especially when they hate us. Irritate us. make us uncomfortable. When we love when no one would. God is glorified! Because love has over come!
Love Like Jesus! Make 2022 the year you and I choose to love like never before!
