INTRO

Clear Springs walking into glass story.
Really made in impression...
That’s a lot like life though, your life makes an impact and impression where ever it goes.
Most of the times in the moment we don’t see the impact, but is def happening.
There isn’t a place you step, an impact isn’t being made.
Every situation, environment, relationship.

the question is, what kind of impact are you making??

2 Cor 9:11
“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
Enriched SO THAT you can share the richness (generosity)
We are given to, to give
We are blessed to bless
We don’t come to Jesus to keep Jesus to ourselves!
Our lives purpose is to make a difference.
I will live and die helping people to accomplish this.
helping people understand that real life beings when life is more than just about me.
Living beyond ourselves.
too many believers are on the sidelines, and its time to get in the game.
We don’t just need more pastors (yes we need that) yes I do my part, but God needs all of us.
Exactly where you are to grow his kingdom.
There really is an assignment for your life.
2 Cor 5:20
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
Our Assignment is God’s kingdom, to make it larger.
And now one can do what you are called to do. No one can make the Impact you are positioned to make. No one else can reach the exact people you can.
Our assignment is the CHANGE THE WORLD.
No that feels pretty big.
it’s like if I’m given a big to do list. Nothing gets done because I’m intimidate and can figure out how to do it all.
There are some restaurants i struggle ordering at because there is just too much on the menu!!!
Changing the world is our mission, our assignment for Gods kingdom, but it’s just too big.
I can’t change the world.
But I can change my world.

The Change we need, doesn’t start somewhere out there, it begins right here.

I want to help you clarify your impact and your assignment.
Galatians 6:4 (The Message)
Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that.
I want us to make an exploration of who we are called to be and reach, so that you can pour yourself into that!
we too often pour ourselves into things that really don’t matter and don’t make a difference.
It’s not that all of those things are bad, but we can’t let things that don’t matter get the best of us. (bing watching, etc.)
Let’s take a look a a guy who was way over his head, but God used him for extraordinary things, even though he felt so… ordinary and unequipped to do anything big.
Understanding you assignment means understanding your Impact begins with:

1. WHO YOU ARE.

Exodus 3:1, 10-11
Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness… [10 - then God spoke to Moses from the burning bush] “So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
Who Am I??
I couldn’t do anything.
Moses is a Hebrew by birthed by raised in the house of the Egyptians.
Hebrews were slaves to the Egyptians.
He’d had actually tried to make a difference before and messed up.
He had seen an Egyptian beating a Hebrews and killed the Egyptian!
So he ran away and has now been hiding for now for 40 years. Just tending sheep. Day after Day.
Then, he encounters God.
Everything changes after you encounter God.
God you’ve seen what i’ve done, I tried. You know me, I can’t.
You are the exact person I’m looking for.
to any thought that God could and wants to use us to make a difference, Moses response is often our...
Who me??? Who am I??
The exact person God is looking for.
yes with all of your past.
yes with your inabilities.
Your personality.
You are like no one else in the entire world.
Exactly who you are is exactly who he needs.
Exodus 3:12
“And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”
Im not calling you to go alone, But you are the person I’m calling.
1 Corinthians 12:12-19
“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be?”
It takes us all understanding that you are called to play a part.
You have more influence and impact than you realize.
Your impact beings with:

2. WHERE YOU ARE

Exodus 3:16-19
“Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’ “The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’ But I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless a mighty hand compels him.”
Being a Hebrew by birth and raised by Egyptians, he had a unique position and placement that no one else had.
Act 17:26
“From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.”
God has marked out our appointed times to live, placement, families etc.
No one else is placed to reach others in the exact way you are.
I can’t reach the people you can and vice versa.
We are all in difference and unique places in society.
You are called to be a God influencer in that place.
You Impact begins with:

3. WHAT YOU HAVE

Exodus 4:1-5
“Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?” Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied. The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.” Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. Then the Lord said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand. “This,” said the Lord, “is so that they may believe that the Lord, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.”
What’s in your hand.
What you have is exactly what he needs.
We tend to look at our lives and focus on lack.
What we don’t have, what we can’t do, what is missing.
God looks at what we do have.
What’s in your hand right now?
God will use that to further his kingdom.
1 Peter 4:10
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
You have gifting, talents, passions right now.
How can you use those to bring glory to God, to serve others, to advance God’s kingdom??
CONCLUSION
You have unique impact in the world, our assignment is to use it to build God’s kingdom.
Once we encounter God (like moses) our influence become his impact.
1 Cor 7:17
“Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.”
Slave, free, single, married, etc.
Wherever you are, whatever life looks like for you.
you don’t have to be something different to be used.
The change we need, begins right here.
And right now.
Start today. Realize the power of your impact.
