LOVE OF GOD (2)

INTRODUCTION

HOW OFTEN HAVE YOU HEARD GOD IS LOVE SAID IN CHURCH, IT IS ONE OF THE MAJOR DOCTRINES OF CHRISTIANITY. WITH ALL OF LIFE’S DISTRACTIONS COMING AT US SUCH AS THE COVID PANDEMIC, OTHER HEALTH ISSUES, LOCKDOWNS, POLITICAL UPHEAVALS, INFLATION AND EMPLOYMENT DO WE REALLY BELIEVE GOD IS LOVE. Terms like “acts of God” and its repetition are often used describing horrific events which over time may result in doubts and questions of God’s love for man. But the Scriptures are clear in describing God’s love for man.

EVIDENCES OF GOD’S LOVE

The gift of salvation throught the forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Jn 3.16 ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” God gave the most important thing to himself, His Son Jesus who came forth from God from the beginning of time. He gave him such that many children could be added to the Kingdom of God through faith in his name. Those who believe are not condemned but those who don’t believe are condemned already because they did not believe in the only begotten Son of God Jesus. Another aspect of God’s love is the creation of all things which was accomplished by combined action of the Father and the Son.They collaborated on the greatest accoumplishment ever ,the creation of all things.
