Intro:
When we read these verses of names of places that are hard to pronounce.
It may not seem very important.
But what we see here is Gods promises.
Promises God had given, promises God kept.
There are great men of faith in the Bible that we hear a lot about.
Abraham.
Joseph.
Moses.
Joshua.
But not a lot about Caleb.
Caleb was a man of great faith.
He was a man who would claim his promise from God.
He was now 85 years old.
He wasn’t ready to retire, he was ready for the next chapter in His life.

1 Now Joshua was old, advanced in years.
And the Lord said to him: “You are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed.
