New American Standard Bible (What God Requires of Man)

He has told you, O man, what is good;And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness,And to walk 2 humbly with your God?

Important because this is clearly saying what God not only wants, what He expects

What is kindness, justice ,being humble?

As many people in the room would be as many perspectives on what those are

Which tells me how many ways to get there. Just because you are right doesn’t make me wrong.

Note that God isn’t saying to belong to a certain, group, or church, or have a certain theology. He is plainly saying be kind, do the right thing, walk humbly.

A Judge said recently in response to a question about what a certain act was a crime or not. The response was: I’ll know it when I see it

Reflection on Alma’s life:

I don’t remember the struggles - we all struggle

I remember her kindnesses, her doing the right thing, walking humbly before God

Her raising her family the right way, who in turn have raised their families the right way who in turn are raising their families the right way. What a legacy

Alma, like Abraham has lived unto a ripe old age, full of days. She did many many acts of kindness, she did the right thing and she walked humbly before her God. A real woman of faith - may we all aspire to such a life.
