Welcome
I want to take this time to welcome everyone to this celebration of union between Brandy Pope and Vince Marshall. It is a great blessing to come together and witness A celebration like we have today. Since institution of marriage comes from scripture, let's begin this service with prayer.
Prayer over the service
Today the world seems to look at marriage as a social contract between two people. And though that might be true, there's so much more to marriage. Marriage is a promise between you, the person you love, and God to always be there for one another. Marriage is not a promise of love when everything is going great but a guarantee of support no matter what you go through together. We find the idea of marriage comes from God's wisdom when saying it's not good for men to be alone and I must find him a helper. Scripture tells us that we are not to Lord over one another or to be oppressive to one another but to help, support, and love for one another. God designed Marriage to be triune. That your life together is not just between you two here today, But between you and God. And as long as God is at the center of your focus and of your marriage there's not an obstacle a problem or situation that can divide what God brought together. God has also placed a great lesson about marriage in his creation and design of humanity. When God created woman, he did not create her out of the head of the man to be dominated or the foot of the man to be trampled on. He created her out of his rib to be close to his heart from under his arm to protect and from out of his side to be supported by him.
The I Do’s and Giving of the Bride
Now understanding this, do you Vince take Brandy to be your lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold from this day forward through any and all things that may come. If so say I do.

who gives this bride who married this man?
Scripture of Marriage
There is no shortage of scripture that helps us gain a better understanding of God's intent in marriage. Proverbs 1822 tells us that a man who finds a wife finds a good thing. 1st Corinthians give us a great understanding of what true love is. Paul writes. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. And Lastly Ephesians 5:22-23 it says Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her,
This last one I want to expand on, because many have taken this verse and make is something it was never intended to be. It says, Wives be a support and help to your husband, trust this walk and his decisions in life and following him with love and care. This is what submissions is. The world wants to make submission about being less then and not having a voice. If this was to be what God wanted He would not have placed the second part of this verse. Husbands Love your wives. As Christ loved the church. This is a selfless love that does not seek their own gain. The true picture of marriage is the woman bowing in support of her husband while the man is to life her up. If both are fulfilling this scripture, they will still and always remail eye to eye.
Wedding Vows.
The Couple today has prepared their own vows. We will start with the Groom.
The Rings
Let us take a moment to focus on the importance of the wedding ring. We lean in story of Noah that it is good to pick a symbol as a reminder of a covenant. Today You two are making a covenant with one another and with God, so it is fitting that you have picked a ring as the symbol of this covenant. Today’s symbol is made of precious metal that is least tarnished symbolizing the purity and strength of marriage. The ring is also a continuous circle only broken from some out side force. This should be the same as you marriage, continuous and un broken unless by death.
Lets present the Rings
Vince Place the ring on Bandy’s ring finger on her left hand and repeat after me. I give you this ring as a sign of my faithful devotion. I Promise to share all that I am and all that I have with you and only you In the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
Brandy Place the ring on Vince’s ring finger on his left hand and repeat after me. I give you this ring as a sign of my faithful devotion. I Promise to share all that I am and all that I have with you and only you In the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Union Ceremony
Candle Lighting.
Today Vince and Brandy has decided to show their commitment to one another through the lighting of a unity candle. And those candles fade and fire flicker out, may your love last till the coming of the Lord, and stay bright as an example of love to all who are around you.
