Good morning Church! It is good to see all of your smiling faces this morning. It has been such a hard time here lately, with all of the sickness going around, as well as many other challenges. I just want to say how good it is to be here with you this morning!
I would like to ask all who can to stand with your Bibles and repeat after me:
“This is my Bible. It is God’s Holy Word. It is a lamp unto my feet, a light unto my path, and I will hide its words within my heart that I might not sin against God.”
As most of you know, we have been focusing on one word so far this year: Purpose. Everything we have discussed so far has stemmed from the idea of our purpose in Christ. We are going to continue this thought today as we look at what is known as “The Great Commission”.
Would you be finding in your Bibles Matthew 28:16-20? This is where we are going to hand out today.
16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.
17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
