Let me ask you a question. How big is your God? I know we all know the right things to say. There is no other God like our God. He is God Almighty. If God is for us who can be against us. God is able to do anything. There is nothing impossible for our God.
We all know that and yet we worry, we get stressed, we hope Jesus comes soon because everything is falling apart. I’m afraid of the pandemic. I don’t know how we’ll make it because the economy is tanking. Worry, fear, doubt and yet were serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords. So today I want us to be like kids. After all we are children of God. Do you remember when you were a kid? Do you remember when you were the superhero? The athlete who saved the day? We imagined we always won!
The word imagine means to form a mental image of. So here’s what we’re going to look at today. We “know” what the Bible says about God but we must form a mental image of Him. Otherwise we are double minded. So let’s see what we need to imagine about God.
Ephesians 3:14–20 TPT
14 So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, 15 the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. 16 And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. 17 Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. 18 Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! 20 Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.

God is able to do even more than we can imagine!

Look at what this version says that we are to never doubt God’s mighty power. Do you think your life would be different if you never ever doubted God’s power? We say oh but we never doubt God’s power. Yet there are times that we are fearful and actually doubt God is able to come through for us in a clutch! It come back down to us being able to imagine that God can do it! Well i should say we have a hard time believing that God will do it for us! We need to imagine that He will do it for us just like we used to believe we were the superhero as kids.
Luke 18:18–30 ESV
18 And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’ ” 21 And he said, “All these I have kept from my youth.” 22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 23 But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich. 24 Jesus, seeing that he had become sad, said, “How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” 27 But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” 28 And Peter said, “See, we have left our homes and followed you.” 29 And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

The Impossible is Normal for God!

There is no way we can do the impossible without God. So we need to make sure that we spend time renewing our mind and getting that mental image of what God can really do. Everything that is not possible for us is possible for God.
1 Corinthians 2:9–12 NLT
9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. 11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.

God is revealing just how big He is by His Spirit!

If we are have God’s Spirit in us, why is it so easy to imagine the worst instead of what God can do. It’s because we cannot
