Devotional – Pastor Conley

1 thes 2:8-9 “So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.”

matthew 28:15-20 “So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day. Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

col 1:28-29 “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.”

disciple making is

Relational- deals with real people

one on one or in groups: example Ms. Norma Oliver. . . or Deacon Stewart and myself planting vegetables

Inspirational- develops desire with people

to live for Christ and follow the great commission

Doctrinal- digging in scripture with people

reading the Bible, study the bible

Experiential- done as you are going with people

giving your life away

We must do more on the experiential in 2022 and beyond.
