Android so where in Hebrews chapter 11 verse 39, but I'd like to pick up just with a review of what we went through last week.
Review from last week.
So what kind of skip over will just hit the main points?
And we looked at 8 results.
Bible Doctrine residence in the soul or we call it functioning Bible Doctrine, in the soul.
That is when Bible Doctrine is functioning.
What are the results?
Porcelain remote in the solo produces confidence for time.
When Bible Doctrine is in your soul, you have a confidence and now post celebration, you begin to understand how to live, what the values are they, God has made that are his values.
They may not be yours yet.
You may not have taken his values as your values, but you will learn about them in scripture and, as a Can you grow?
You will find yourself confidence in your walk with God confidence going through trials, confidence in the midst of tribulations.
Why because God is faithful and he is the faithful one who gave you.
Those promises?
Secondly, we noticed the Bible Doctrine when it's functioning in your soul.
Produces a Divine Viewpoint of life in Divine Viewpoint of life.
That is we have our way of seeing things are human Viewpoint.
Sometimes it comes from the family we were raised in, sometimes it comes from the pressure of culture around this creating a Viewpoint that is not one that we would have natively come to occupy ourselves raised by wolves in the somewhere in the forest or something like that.
So people have an impact on our thinking, the things we read the education, Etc.
But the word of God has this work in US.
It takes our understanding our Viewpoint, and it gradually changes at 2. He has Viewpoint, that is as we approach it with an open mind.
As we approached it saying not what I want you to mean, but what do you mean scripture?
And we seek to learn that as we approach it with that attitude, we find ourselves changed.
I like to use the term epistemological Rehabilitation, which is just a fancy couple of Latin words, that mean this truth needs to be up.
North are thinking needs to be changed by God's rehabilitates, our soul or mind our understanding with his word.
We need to be rehabilitated and we especially need to be rehabilitated when it comes to understanding what is true and what is true.
If so that is something that the Lord does, as we gear, he's in the process of studying his word, by the way, all the scriptures are up here.
I'm not sliding them but you can grab them last week, we went through them.
I'm skipping over them just as we're doing the review, hitting the high points 0.3.
Bible Doctrine in your soul orient's, the believer to the plan of God.
You see we'd get out of sorts when we're trying to impose our plan on life, we know how we want it to go, we know exactly what we want to happen but you know what, it doesn't happen.
The way that we play on the way we think or the way we want it to go, but as we oriented God's plan that is his purpose for us.
His instructions about life.
We find ourselves in that better place.
So isn't it better to have God's plan in mind then my plan I would think
44.
Bible Doctrine in the soul, it produces a stability of Mind, a stability of mind.
But it is your flip flop in all over the place.
Trying to figure out how will I do this while you that what should I do here?
What should I do?
There is God put you into situations, you never anticipated that he would put you into, you have the opportunity to have stability because you're resting in the express.
Truth of God's word.
And as we study it, as it becomes part of our soul, we find that stability.
It is actually the character of God reflected in his word, the characteristic bility and that becomes part of our character, as we take in the word of God, we are changed.
We are stabilized.
Point five.
Again, from last week.
It is the basis for divine guidance, in the execution of the will of God.
How do we find this Divine guidance?
We just keep plugging into the word of God know, I have had friends in the past.
Who said, you know, it's just important to know what God wants me to do it every step along the way.
So I need to know whether to wear the red shoes are the blue shoes today.
I can't decide which one you're going to be worn cuz it's really important.
Give me going off to do this thing here in it.
You know, there is a possibility that God will let you make decisions and he's just going to bless whatever choice you make along the way.
But when it comes to actual guidance, it is knowing the word of God that is going to allow us to execute his will, as we are plugged in, we have the ability to execute that very thing, which God himself would have for us, you don't have to second-guess God, we get to trust him.
Point6 Bible Doctrine.
The benefit of Bible Doctrine .6 is it leads to an occupation with the person of Christ and the capacity and the ability to love God.
You see the more we know about God the more we are able to love God.
The more we learn of his character, the deeper, our love becomes, the more, we have to depend on him, going through difficult situations, and circumstances, the more we are able to rely on those things.
We never would have relied on in any other way.
You see, Bible Doctrine functioning in the soul means you're relying on the truth of God's word.
You're simply relying on God's word and what it teaches.
Point seven.
The bar benefits from having Bible Doctrine functioning in the soil.
That is your relying upon it in your life.
Is it attains and Holes movie called The Super Grace status?
That's just from James chapter 4 where he says there is yet a greater way a Greater Grace.
This is just the concept of maturity.
There is a maturity that the believer can walk in overtime and it is through the study of God's word that we grow, we are changed and we grow into maturity maturity comes and we attain it and we hold to it as we study, God's word.
You're not flipping in chapter 3. We find that Paul is going over this and dealing with it and he says, you know, I wrestle with these things, he says, I have not previously attended and yet he seemed to have fallen into difficulties and trialled and he said, but yet I have this, I will press on and I will grasp and hang on to The High Ground that is maturity is not something that you seek after, and then when you have reached it, you turn around and seek after something else.
No maturity of the believer, is something that you find, you find it.
As God grows you because truly, he is the gardener he is the he's the master of the vineyard who is growing you for his purposes, so you will bear his fruit.
And as he is growing you He has a purpose for you, but as we reach that place of maturity we are to hang.
Hold on, don't let go.
Once you have reached a place, we call it in different ways.
When were talking about the military battle that were in the midst of the spiritual conflict, we talked about The High Ground.
That is at a playground in military, is that place above other places and that's where you have the advantage.
That's why every military conquest.
If you're a student or a lover of military battles, you will notice, it's always about getting Mastery of The High Ground, the higher playing the higher heel and when you reach that you have the advantage well or calling is to reach The High Ground of Spiritual Living.
And we do that as we pursue maturity and pursue our growth.
Open Bible Doctrine.
But we learn to understand God's word.
God's way we find ourselves in that place and when you reach it, the goal is hang on to it with everything you've got
28.
One of the benefits of Bible Doctrine residents residing in your soul and you functioning in it.
That is depending on it walking in it.
Who's that?
You attend?
What we call a surpassing Grace blessings in eternity?
So we have Grace blessings that are here in time, but every Grace blessing and time has a corresponding blessing in eternity and truly, it's not about you.
It's not about what you've done and who you are.
It's about what God has done.
What Christ has enabled you to be able to do?
Just a celebration is not by our work.
we didn't come with any kind of mirror it to God and say, because of me, because of this, because of that, because of my genetic Heritage, whatever might be everyone's going to the genetic stuff, nowadays, I'm great because my great-grandfather was you, no such and so, and
Interesting.
We have many ways we can try to pump ourselves up and make ourselves feel good.
We can break her arms.
Patting ourselves on the we are different than others but you don't get to bring any of that uniqueness.
Any of that, mirror it to the place of Salvation.
You see the only Barrett, the counts is the Merit of Christ.
