Al scripture comes from Matthew 9:1 and we read the scripture.
So I'll just pick up a few points here that we just want to highlight.
This is a familiar maybe story to some of you, others of you.
It may not be but it's a powerful story of God.
Through Christ was showing his power through this paralytic, man.
It says he is so inverse one.
So we got in the boat and crossed over and came to his hometown.
So Jesus, now, he's back where he grew up.
This is a familiar place to him.
This is his hometown.
And unfortunately, there is some that are willing to receive him and are excited.
Is there?
There's others that I'm so excited.
Then it goes on to say, then behold they brought to him a paralytic lying in a bed.
And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, son, be of good cheer.
I don't know what condition you coming to church today, you know, none of us.
Praise.
God, have come in a bed.
None of us have needed to be dragged here, necessarily all carried here.
And God is telling us, no matter how you came, be of good cheer, be of good cheer.
I pray that each of us no matter what our week has been like because of Jesus Christ.
We can be of good cheer.
Amen.
The miracle hasn't happened yet, but he says be of good cheer.
Your prayers may not be answered yet, but God says be of good cheer.
Be of good cheer, he says.
And then he says your sins are forgiven you.
And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, this man, blasphemes, you know, there's some people that don't wait long to accuse you of something.
If you've met anyone like that and at once as soon as as soon as he says that they ready to try but they don't say it verbally.
They say it within their hearts, but Jesus knowing their thoughts.
Jesus said, why do you think evil in your hearts for which is easier to say your sins are forgiven you or to say arise and walk.
But that you may know that the son of man has power on Earth.
We serve a God.
That doesn't just have power in heaven.
He has power on Earth as well.
Amen.
We serve a God.
That doesn't just have power Where Angels off, he has power with full and angels are as well.
We had serve a God that has power in every situation and we need to be reminded.
That even those sin may be in this world.
There is a God more powerful than this broken world.
That there is a God that can bring healing a man that God has power on Earth as well as in heaven.
And Jesus sent was sent so that we can recognize that there is power in him.
And so he says that, you may know, maybe sometimes in our lives, we forget that, we forget that God has power because we saw, you just turn on the news, don't you?
And you feel like God, where are you?
If you want to be depressed, turn on the news sometimes.
And then we can easily forget that God is on Earth.
And God says, I need you to know, sometimes, we need to be reminded, he goes so that you may know that the son of man has power on Earth to forgive sins.
Then he said to the paralytic arise, take up your bed and go to your house.
And he arose and the Potter to his house and he arose and the Potted to his house.
My prayer is that no matter how we came in to church today that we will experience the power of God and that we will arise in our situation and our circumstance and how we go home will be different to the way we came in.
So hopefully the PowerPoint is working.
The title of my message is there, is the power in the promise, the power, in the promise, as we look at the scripture, we need to be reminded that God is a source of power.
And many of you before you went to bed last night.
You probably charge you one of these rights.
Did you put that on the charge?
Are you fully charged this morning?

In fact, in Matthew Chapter 5. We have the sermon on the mountain.
Jesus shows his authority over the law.
Okay.
He shows his authority.
I'm one of the reasons that Jesus has Authority, isn't only because he has that power, but his authority comes from the fact that what he preaches is what he does.
His authority comes from, he's keeping the lore of God perfectly.
He's Authority is coming from the fact that who he says he is equates to what he does.
That there is a Synergy.
