Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Wait - hope for, look forward with confidence to that which is good and beneficial, often with a focus of anticipation in a future event
note: when the object of hope is the Lord, there is an eager expectation of salvation or deliverance;
If this is available to us, that means we’re *supposed* to live like this!
Not only on days we have energy. Not only when everything is in order.
Psalm 27:13–14 NKJV
13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
James 1:13 NKJV
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
