Know - Grow - Go...
Know - Grow - Go...
God bless you all this morning!
We are in the last week of our series on Christian Living.
We started with the importance of Knowing God.
God wants a relationship with you and the best relationships take time.
The next was to Grow in your relationship with God.
This involves reading/studying, and growing through experience.
We then, talked about the living out the words of Jesus in Matthew 28 and that He called us to Go and make disciples.
We talked about how simply using the gifts God gave you, and pointing people to Jesus is the beginning.
Today, we are going to take it one bit further and get into the “Discipleship” part.
We often use another term called “Mentorship”
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
17 As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.
3 the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—
4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
3 Las ancianas asimismo sean reverentes en su porte; no calumniadoras, no esclavas del vino, maestras del bien;
7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct.
1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
Ways to Show:
Encouragement
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Prayer
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Bearing each other’s burdens Gal 6:2
2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Godly Counsel
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
Accountability
1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
