AWAKENED TO DREAM!

Psalm 126: 1-3

I.       THE BIRTH OF A DREAM IS BELIEVED!

**A God given dream will be:

            A.        DEPOSITED in your HEART!

Genesis 37: 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more all his sons . . .

            B.        DEMONSTRATED by your ACTIONS!

Genesis 37: 3 . . . and he made him a varicolored tunic!

            C.        DESPISED by your PEERS!

Genesis 37: 5 Then Joseph had a dream . . . they hated him even

II.      THE DEATH OF A DREAM IS PERCEIVED!

**A God given dream will also die a natural death. How does a God given dream die a natural death? The enemy gets you to:

            A.        BELIEVE a LIE!

Genesis 37: 33 Then he examined it and said, “It is my son’s tunic. A wild beast has devoured him; Joseph has surely been torn to pieces!”

            B.        LOSE your PASSION!

Genesis 37: 35 So Jacob tore his clothes, and put sackcloth on his loins and mourned for his son many days. 36 Then all his sons and all his daughters arose to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. And he said, “Surely I will go down to Sheol in mourning for my son.”

            C.        Become PARALYZED by FEAR!

Genesis 42: 4 But Jacob did not send Joseph’s brother Benjamin with his brothers, for he said, “I am AFRAID that harm may befall him!”

            D.        The WORST is going to HAPPEN to you!

Genesis 42: 36 Their father Jacob said to them, “You have bereaved me of my children; Joseph is no more, and Simeon is no more, and you would take Benjamin; all these things are against me! 43: 14 . . . And as for me, if I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.”

III.    THE REVIVAL OF A DREAM IS ACHIEVED

How does God revive a dream that has died a natural death? We must be willing to:

            A.        SURRENDER our WILL!

Genesis 43: 14 . . . As for me, if I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved!

            B.        BELIEVE the TRUTH !

Genesis 45: 26 They told Jacob saying, “Joseph is still alive, and indeed he is under the ruler over all the land of Egypt!” But he was stunned, for he DID NOT BELIEVE them! 27 When they told all the words of Joseph that he had spoken to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived! 28 Then Israel said, “It is enough; my son Joseph is still alive! I will go and see him before I die!

            **What made the difference for Jacob? He believed the truth about:

1)         The REALITY of the unseen RESOURCES!

45: 27 . . . and when he SAW the WAGONS that Joseph had sent

2)         The RULER of the unseen RESOURCES !

45: 28 . . . It is enough, my son Joseph is still alive!

3)         The RICHES of the unseen RULER!

45: 20 Do not concern yourselves with your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours!

**Why did God give Jacob and Joseph their dreams?
