Psalm 62:1 - For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
Psalm 62:1 - For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
This is where we often switch our roles, its not meant that we should get anxious, get testy, get upset, or even panic when we are in the waiting period for whatever it is that God has for us
Its in this moment we don’t realize how powerful God really is. See when we are in the waiting, and waiting on that answer, in order to get the answer God is working in the background so the answer can come to pass, in whichever moment it is.
Fasting is our modern key, in any form, we see the glory of God doing His best works, while we stand back and let go and let God.
1. Can you see what you can’t see?
1. Can you see what you can’t see?
Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
When we are in our fast, we have the hope, but do you see what God is gonna do?
I love these house decorators, because they see something different, then what the average person sees. They see this beautiful home with all these things, but to you and me we see walls, holes, and something old.
See when we are asking God we have to see with His eyes
in ourselves, in our homes, in our relationships, in everything and anything we ask God to inspire
2. In the waiting room
2. In the waiting room
How many of us like going to the Dr. Its not necessarily seeing the Dr. that we dread, its the waiting room. In that room our minds can race, we start self diagnosing, we start thinking the worst
Then do we allow the anxiousness, fear, doubt, doublemindedness, the spirits that try to control you so you cant grasp on to what God has promised for you
Matt 21:22 - And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith
Its in this place where it may seem the harderst, but the greatest victories await.
for the married couples, when you waited on the perfect spouse, when you waited on the job, when you waited on that house, when you waited on that child or children, when you waited on that ministry
Child Like Faith!
Child Like Faith!
Now we have all seen our own children, nieces, nephews, even on the TV children have an interesting concept of faith.
I can be making something on the stove, and its clearly not done yet, regardless of what stage I might be at, my little girl will ask is dinner ready
She was never concerned if I called to the table to eat, But she was anticipating what I was making, she was ready to receive, asking if it was ready
Can we have that same faith in the waiting, God hasn’t quite called us up yet, but we have so much faith, that we know he is doing something great for us. To sit up at the table and say I am ready Lord!
I know your doing something awesome, its in the works, I know its coming....I can’t wait for what you got for me, I am ready!
So today we close our fast, can we have that faith for the last 21 days, can we just get up to to the table and say I am ready Lord!
Show by our worship, show it by our praise, show it by our walk, show it by our faith!
May God continue to bless you and keep the faith!
“The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”
