RECAP OF LAST WEEK
RECAP OF LAST WEEK
Last week we began to look at the attractive nature of the word “new.”
We are drawn to the experience of new
We are enamored with the expectation of new.
NEW IS WHAT JESUS OFFERS US…WE CAN’T BUY IT…BUT WE DO HAVE TO TRADE FOR IT.
WE LEARNED THAT A NEW PRODUCT CANNOT PRODUCE A NEW RESULT UNLESS WE ENACT A NEW PROCESS.
The new creation status that Paul talks about is dependently related to the surrendering of the old life. “OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY.”
This week I want us to go beyond the consideration of how to arrive at a new life and take a few minute to consider what a “new life” actually looks like....It’s hard to find something if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
GRANDMA HARRIS LOOKING FOR THE COACH K BASKETBALL.
Today I need to identify to you what a new life in Christ looks like…because if you don’t understand what you’re looking for…you could easiily become discouraged by not identifying it’s presence.
NEW DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN NICE!
We have a tendency to present a gospel of good times. (Following Jesus means all will go well.)
There will be moments after you follow Jesus…that life still sucks.
You’re air conditioner will still go out
Your car will still break down
Your kids will still do stupid things.
