What qualities do you think of when you think of God?
What qualities do we have that God has?
When god created us he created us in his own image.
Why do you think that he created us in his image?
God created us in his image, the perfect image.
Have you ever met someone who thinks they have to look a certain way?
I think of like cartoon characters, they all have a certain look.
They were certain clothes.
their hair is in a certain way.
they have a look.
You see many of us have a look.
We buy a lot into the way we look.
You know, some people buy so much into the way they look that they can’t stand the thoughts of something being wrong with their looks.
Their is good news though.
Jesus has told us that he has made us in his own image.
and in Psalms 139:14
God’s creation is perfect, nothing about it is flawed.
He created each of us in his image.
Now, I done had dunlop disease.
Do you all know what dunlop disease is?
My belly has done lopped over.
So sometimes I get frustrated about my appearance and my weight is something I need to work on but it isn’t my identity.
Whatever features appearance you may have, God loves you just as much.
because you are created in his image.
Now my weight is an aspect of my appearance that I need to work on.
It isn’t good for me.
But I also dislike other aspects of me that I cannot control.
What I am saying is your appearance may be what others see but it isn’t who you are.
Why do you think so many people tie their identity into their appearance?
