Addendum to FBCM Bylaws (Gender Identify)
Although First Baptist Church Maddoxtown duly recognizes the on-going cultural change in our society in regards to human gender identification,
we (the pastor, officers and membership) as a New Testament church, in our belief and practice according to the Holy Bible, which is our source, and our guide for faith and practice as divinely given by Almighty God,
have determined not only to believe but also adhere to the biblical teaching of God for His church as stated concerning the creation of humankind of which He clearly recognizes and
identifies in His Word in the following Bible chapters and verses of the Book of Genesis which are as follows: Genesis 1:26-28; 2:18-25; 5:1-2.
Be it known by all that this is our scriptural stance on the matter according to the Word of God, however, no intent is implied or aimed at being discriminatory in relationship with any person who desires to fellowship with said church.
