Jephthah ( Jeff-the) the man

a man born of a prositute

a man rejected by his half brothers

a man that flees from his home

He became this gang leader without laws , possibly robbing and stealing and he has this gang behind him .

Now the Elders of Israel are coming to him to ask if he could be the chief commander . Because Israel is is at war with the ammonites .

Jephthah tried to use dipomacy to prevent a war between the Ammonites and Giledites

Jephthah mentioned in the hall of fame of faith .

32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Out of weakness were mades strong .

Gods power is displayed against the backdrop of human weakness .
