The Revelation

I. A message from God. (1:1-2)

• An unveiling.
• The messenger: John the Apostle. (1:4, 9-10; 22:8)
• The culmination of the Bible.

II. A message for God's people. (1:4, 11)

• In the late first century. (2:3, 9-10, 13)
• In all ages. (Rev. 13:10; 14:12)

III. A message of hope. (1:3, 22:6-7)

• The battle is still raging. (6:9-11)
• Jesus is coming back. (1:7; 22:7, 20)
• God will win! (Rev. 17:14)
• He is in control. (11:15; Lk. 22:52-53)
• His people will dwell with Him. (17:14)
