The wise man Solomon said: “Where ther is no vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law happy is he”[Prov. 29:18].
Following a brief salutation/greeting [vv. 1-2], Paul begins this epistle with an expression of praise to God for the spiritual blessings that are in Christ [v.3]. He goes on to state a list of blessings that are divided into three sections:
Blessings related to the Father, how He has chosen us in Christ, predestinated us to adopriton as sons to Himself, and made us acceptedf int eh Beloved [vv.4-6];
Blessings related to the Son. His will concerning Jesus christ, and the inheritance we have obtained, as predestined according God;s will [vv.7-12], and,
Blessings related to the Holy Spirit: how we are sealed with the Spirit of promise, and, how He serves as a “guarantee” [deposit] of our inheritance [vv. 13-13].

We are Chosen by God the Father (v. 4):
Chosen in christ before the foundation the world began.
Chosen to be holy and without blame.
2. We are predestinated by God the Father (vv. 5-6a)
Predestined to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself.
Predestined according to the good pleasure of His will to the praise of His glory.
3. We are accepted by God the Father (v.6).
Accepted by virtue of His glorious grace
Accepted in the beloved (in Christ)
(accepted: ‘charitoo:’ to be highly favoured).

God has redeemed us:

Which abounds in all wisdom and prudence (2 Cor. 9:8).

God has chosen to pursue us with His grace, compass us with His favour and honour us with His blessings. it behooves us to live lives that are in accordance with His designed will.
Eureka! Spiritual security in Christ certainly ought to motivate us to accomplish all that God has planned for His church.
