Nigerian Spammers

A report for the Boston Globe thought it would be interesting to carry on an email conversation with one of those Nigerian Spammers which almost everyone who has ever had an email account has no doubt had some contact with.

It is the typical email scam...millions of dollars jsut waiting for someone to help claim it

Send us your vital info and we will send you the money

What the report did was keep replying with additional questions

Do you need my middle intial or name

I go by a couple of different names which one do you want

do you wnat the checking account or savings account number?

do you want the state name or initials

I have several phone numbers which one do you want

could you send me a form to fill out instead

my account will need a receipt

etc.

Until the spammers finally give up
