TRIALS AND DENIALS

Sometimes God will use our relationships to get us into places He wants us to be (John 18:15-16).

Being among unbelievers will often keep us from standing up for Jesus (John 18:17-18).

Focusing on your own comfort can keep us from testifying to others about our relationship with Jesus.

When we have done nothing wrong, we have nothing or no one to fear (John 18:19-21).

Integrity- Doing and saying the right thing at all times. (Something Peter was still working on)

What was Jesus teachings/Doctrine?

Jesus was/is FULLFILLMENT

Evil people often mistake good and truth for evil (John 18:22).

Truth is not always appreciated, but should always be applied.

As long as the earth exists, unbelievers will continuously try to hinder God’s works (John 18:23-24).

Desire Good? Expect Evil!

We must have Perseverance. - Consistency in the midst of adversity.

We must always avoid denying Jesus, for if we do it once, it becomes easier to do it again, and again, and again (John 18:25-27).

Being ashamed is not attractive

Denying Jesus is another way of betraying Him

Deny - claim no knowledge or relationship

Matthew 26:73 After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Certainly you too are one of them, for your accent betrays you.”

Peter then Changed His accent and curse to himself and swore.

If you Deny Jesus now, He will deny you later. Luke 9:26
