I. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF ALL OUR PROVISION
I. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF ALL OUR PROVISION
A. Exodus 16:4a (ESV) — 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you…
B. _________________________________________________________________________.
C. Exodus 16:2–3 (ESV) — 2 And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, 3 and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
D. __________________________________________________________________________.
E. “In verse 3 they complained about their meal plan. But what seems to have come first was the complaining itself, evidence of a grumbling spirit. Our complaints really are never caused by our outward circumstances. Instead, they reveal the inward condition of our hearts. The Scripture says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Phil. 4:4). Our joy in the Lord should not be circumstantial but fundamental.”[1]
F. Romans 8:29 (ESV) — 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
G. ___________________________________________________________________________.
II. WILL WE OBEY GOD?
II. WILL WE OBEY GOD?
A. Exodus 16:4–5 (ESV) — 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.
B. ___________________________________________________________________________.
C. “Sadly, some Israelites doubted that He would do what He had promised and disobeyed Him, keeping some manna for the next day (for doubting God’s promises always leads to disobeying God’s commands).” Begg, Alistair. Truth for Life: 365 Daily Devotions (p. 44). The Good Book Company. Kindle Edition.

F. “…Jesus is underscoring a timeless reality: in every age, God teaches His people to trust not in the provision itself, which leaves us longing for more, but in the Provider, who satisfies our every need.” Begg, Alistair. Truth for Life: 365 Daily Devotions (p. 44). The Good Book Company. Kindle Edition.

26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
