Main Idea

The World Needs Jesus.

The Pandemic

Jesus is the only way

John 14:6 ESV

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

All have sinned

Sin brings death (physical death/spiritual death)

God loves the World

Jesus takes the penalty of sin (death) and pays for it with His live. (The Cross)

The World needs to hear about Jesus (the Gospel) and given the opportunity to receive or reject the grace of God.

Jesus Commissions Believers.

God’s way is to empower believers to tell the world about the Gospel.

Matthew 28:19–20 ESV

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Believers need empowerment.

Acts 1:8 ESV

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Believers Obey and Engage

How do we receive this Commission?

Jesus calls us to Himself.

Abiding

Jesus calls us to die to self.

Deny self

Take up our cross

Follow Him

Jesus calls us to glorify God.
