Importance of witnessing
Synopsis
Sharing the good news about God and Jesus Christ with others is a work to which some believers have a special calling, but in which all believers are to take part.
Witnessing is sharing the truth of God
Ps 145:10–12; Lk 24:46–48
Psalm 145:10–12 (NRSV) — 10 All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your faithful shall bless you. 11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and tell of your power, 12 to make known to all people your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
Luke 24:46–48 (NRSV) — 46 and he said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Messiah is to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins is to be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.
