Romans 10:14–17 NKJV
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Now can you explain to me why evangelism is important?
Why is it important to get out of your comfort zone like Ethan did last week?
You have been called.
Maybe you have been called to preach maybe you have not but you are all called to share the gospel.
The Christian should have a well rounded knowledge of how to share the gospel.
Why is ti so important that you can share God’s word and lead someone to be saved?
Some would say that you shouldn’t have to do that, it is a pastors job to know to lead someone, what would you say if someone said that to you?
You see we are called to share the gospel because just as our scripture said, how can they hear without a preacher.
We have each been sent in some way shape or form to share the gospel.
Do you think you have been sent?
Where have you been sent?
One example of where you have been sent is simply in your school.
Your school could definitely be considered your mission field.
Now you aren’t preachers but can you be teachers? can you share the gospel?
You know it is important that we be prepared
1 Peter 3:15–16 NKJV
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
