I. Fearing God Prolongs your Days of Life, When You Keep All His Statutes and Commansments.
Deuteronomy 6:22 That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

A. Keep the Commandments of God to Walk in His Ways and Fear Him.
Deuteronomy 8:6 “6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.”
B. God Requires Us to Fear Him, Walk in All His Ways, to Love Him and Serve Him with All Your Heart and Soul.
Deuteronomy 10:12 “12 And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,”
C. King Saul Feared the People and Obeyed Their Voice and Sinned by Transgressed the Commandments and the Words of the Lord.
i Samuel 15:24 “24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.”
D. It is Not Good to Walk in the Fear of Our God, Because of the Reproach of the Heathens Which are Your Enemies.
Nehemiah 5:9 “9 Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?”
E. The Fear of the Lord is Wisdom, and Departing from Evil is Understanding.
Job 28:28 “28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.”
F. We Are to Serve the Lord with Fear and Rejoice with Trembling.
Psalm 2:11 “11 Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.”
G. The Fear of the Lord is Clean, Enduring Forever. And His Judgments are True and Righteous Altogether.
Psalm 19:9 “9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”
H. Great Goodness is Laid Up for Them That Fear God Which is Wrought by Those Who Trust Him Before Men.
Psalm 31:19 “19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; Which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee Before the sons of men!”
I. The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Knowledge, But Fools Despise Wisdom and Instruction.
Proverbs 1:7 “7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
J. If You Hate Knowledge, Then You Choose Not the Fear of the Lord.
Proverbs 1:29 “29 For that they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of the Lord:”
K. By Understanding the Fear of the Lord, You Will Find the Knowledge of God.
Proverbs 2:5 “5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.”
L. The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom, and The Knowledge of the Holy is Understanding.
Proverbs 9:10 “10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: And the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
II. Fear Not Men, But Fear God.
A. Men Can Only Kill the Body, Not the Soul.
B. God Can Kill the Body and Soul, and Put You in Hell.
Matthew 10:28 “28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
C. We Are to Always Obey, and Work Out Your Salvation with Fear and Trembling.
Philippians 2:12 “12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”
D. We Are to Rebuke All That Sin Before All, So Others Will Fear God.
I Timothy 5:20 “20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.”
